Jen is Koru Mindfulness Teacher in Training through the Koru Mindfulness Center. She is a level I Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and on the pathway to becoming a Certified MBSR teacher through The Mindfulness Center at Brown University. Jen is a graduate of the Mindful Schools Certified Teacher Training Program. Jennifer is a Chopra Certified Meditation teacher and a Certified Mindfulness Facilitator through Mindful Leader. Additionally, Jen is a Mindfulness Teacher in Training in Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach’s Certified Mindfulness Teacher Training Program through Sounds True. Jennifer is a Certified Kripalu Yoga teacher of 20 years and Certified Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra teacher.
Jen loves sharing mindfulness, meditation and yoga with others and feels that her personal mediation practice has been instrumental in supporting her through the many challenges that life brings. She believes that practicing mindfulness in her own life has been both powerful and transformative. Jen teaches Koru Mindfulness classes, MBSR classes, Primordial Sound Meditation, Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She also teaches Introduction to Mindfulness workshops.
Jen loves spending time near the ocean, she enjoys listening to the sounds of the birds in the early morning and to the Katydids at dusk. She loves falling asleep and waking up to the pitter patter of the rain falling or if she is really lucky to the sounds of the ocean waves. Jen is a SoulCollage Facilitator and a Certified Sequence Painting teacher. She loves expressing herself creatively and feels a sense of freedom when she is painting. Jen loves making authentic heart connections with the people she encounters in her daily life and she values honest, deep and meaningful relationships.
Jennifer is a trained therapist and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. She is a Certified Positive Psychology Coach and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach through the Co-Active/Coaches Training Institute. Jen offers individual and group coaching, workshops & retreats for women. She incorporates mindfulness, mindful self-compassion and expressive and mindful art into her coaching practice which allows the women she works with the opportunity to move past the internal obstacles that may be getting in their way and opens them up to a path of living a deep, rich and meaningful life.
Jen believes that optimism, cultivating awareness, self-compassion are keys to navigating life’s challenges. She uses positive psychology, mindfulness, and creativity as tools to create a foundation of well-being that supports individuals to feel grounded, more peaceful and joyful, even through difficult times.
