Trained in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, I discovered Koru through a colleague who teaches Mindfulness in high school. The Koru curriculum is helpful in introducing college age students to the practice and principles of Mindfulness. It offers a secular perspective while also tracing it back to it's Buddhist roots. The Mindful Twenty-Something is especially accessible and the App helps the students to cultivate a regular practice.

Identifying as a Buddhist practitioner with training in the secular practice of Shambhala shapes my view and aspiration to help college students to connect with Mindfulness. The Koru program offers some important tools with which to do.
